Dallas Curow specializes in portraiture and editorial photography.
A second-generation photographer, she has inherited both her artistic sensibility and interpersonal skills from her mentor/mother, who is also a professional photographer. These skills allow Dallas to communicate through her photography as she naturally connects with her clients. She believes that honesty, emotion, humour, connection and individuality are the elements of powerful photographs.
Dallas emphasizes balance in life, which is reflected in the diversity of her artistic approach. She was raised in the city and enjoys being part of a busy, urban pace. Her relaxed and organic style, however, is a product of her passion for the country, where she has spent a great deal of time at the family farm.
With her camera in tow, she explores the world and uses her photos to share the amazing things seen on her travels: from the streets of her own neighbourhood to the plains of the Serengeti. Using her background in journalism, media studies and fine arts, she creates work that tells a story and makes a point.
